Tattoo? Tasha & I want to go back for more....The sellers of the house we are looking at have a tattoo shop and said "free tats if you buy the house" SO I'm thinking of these cute butterflies. While I REALLY like how she has them-I want them to be easier to hide so will prob do them lower on the back/side and not on the shoulder at all...Not sure about colors either yet.

Pillow: Well my expensive pillow I bought in the beginning of December is already causing me pain. It seems that after a few months, either every pillow loses its shape or my body just adjusts to it and revolts. Whatever the case-I have been in HORRID pain this week. So we went to the bed store last night and got yet another pillow (a micro fibre gel pillow)-this time $60. So far so good-1 night in. I am still so sore from the past few nights though I wont be able to tell how well the new pillow is working for a while.
Workouts: For the past 2 weeks, I have been trying to rotate in some neglected or never used dvds. But with the combination of neck pain and me being me- 2 days in a row I have ripped dvds out of the player mid w/o and switched to something tried and true.
Today's Workout:-Results: Boost Your Metabolism (only made it about 15 min)
-Firm Aerobic Body Shaping (most of it)
*total w/o time 60 min + stretch

Today's Review: Results Fitness - Boost Your Metabolism
Tracey Staehle, 2008 * * (my new star rating system 2 out of 5 stars)
This is a 52 minute cardio and strength interval workout. She does 5-8ish minutes of cardio and then 5- 8ish minutes of strength and goes through the dvd in that fashion. Some of the strength moves will also get your heartrate up due to working large muscle groups and because she works multiple muscle groups at the same time. For example-she will do a lunge with a back row.
I got this dvd when it first came out so Ive had it for over 2 years. I did it once when i first got it and promptly forgot about it. I saw it in the back of my collection this morning so I pulled it out to give it another shot. I now know why it went to the back of the dvd pile-I didn't like it. While I really enjoyed the cardio moves, the strength moves were awkward and thrown together with another awkward strength move.
She did a squat with an overhead press-but instead of pressing overhead while coming up in your squat-she has you lifting over your head while your going down in your squat. It was awkward and I couldn't lift my normal poundage because it put a weird strain on my neck. She did that on multiple occasions and none of the strength moves clicked with me at all. I didn't even finish the dvd this morning. I pulled it out about 1/2 way.
Like I said, the cardio is solid. I enjoyed it and will probably keep the dvd just for the cardio. Unfortunately there are no premixes on the dvd, but I will just push "skip" through the strength sections. I would say this is an intermediate workout that utilizes more light weight, hi rep type training and athletic non-dancy cardio.
Tuesday's Workouts:-Mindy Mylrea's Kick Butt Boot Camp (I made it about 15 min before changing dvds)
-Yoga in the Garden of Serenity (neck & shoulder segment)
-Firm: Body Sculpting Ball (Tina's 1st ball w/o)
*total w/o time 45 min

I slept right through my alarm yesterday! I sometimes wear earplugs but have never slept right through LOL! So I woke up 20 min late to Jay's alarm.
Today's Tip: Why I work out at home. (taken from a post of mine on VF)
-great dvd instructors
-more organized "classes" on my dvds
-no commute (gas money, time)
-dont have to look presentable (no expensive clothes, or time spent getting presentable)
-no fighting/ waiting for equipment
-I can pause the dvd to use the bathroom, get a drink, wipe sweat, etc whenever I want
-nice cool room to workout in (that doesn't stink)
Today's LOL: LOVE these (because they both remind me of me....)
